Just the FAQs: How Do I Export Grades from MyEconLab?

Q: How do I export grades from MyEconLab?

A: You have two export options in the MyEconLab Gradebook: Quick Export and Advanced Export.

The Quick Export option allows you to generate summary reports on assignment categories (homework, tests, and so on) or student averages. These reports are exported immediately from the Gradebook to a .csv file and can be read by a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft® Excel.

The Advanced Export option takes you to the Advanced Export page, where you can design complex reports. In addition to the options offered for quick exports, advanced exports can include all categories at once, raw scores in points, time spent on assignments, the date the assignment was worked on, and the last login dates. Because advanced exports can take some time to generate, they are compiled offline and you will receive an email when your advanced export report is ready.

To access Quick or Advanced Exports, go to the Gradebook and choose Export Data from the tool bar.

Note: At the top right of the page, you will see the type of delimiter that will be used for your export. The delimiter is set according to the language of your textbook. For English-language textbooks, a comma is used to separate (delimit) the entries on your export file. For textbooks in other languages, the delimiter may be a semicolon. Click Change delimiter if you need to choose a different delimiter.
