On September 23 and 24, Pearson hosted a Course Redesign Workshop in Orlando, FL. Course Redesign is the process of redesigning whole courses (rather than individual classes or sections) to achieve better learning outcomes at a lower cost by taking advantage of the capabilities of information technology.
This event allowed over 180 instructors from different disciplines the opportunity to collaborate and better understand how to effectively redesign their courses. Sessions at the workshop included “Getting Started with Course Redesign,” “Tracking and Analyzing Student Success Data,” “College Readiness and Dual-Credit Programs” and many more.
Additionally, the workshop offered a student panel discussion, as well as faculty discussions on the topics “How to Engage Students” and “To Modularize or Not to Modularize.”
